Flexible hybrid model
GPSP would raise and fatten quality cattle and sheep at commercial scale in selected countries of origin.
Ship animals by sea during winter for final finishing and slaughter in the UAE.
Slaughter animals in their countries of origin and ship the meat to the UAE.
The mix between the two routes will ultimately be decided by the relevant UAE authorities responsible for food security and emergency reserves.
Digital platform
GPSP plans to develop a purpose-built system that monitors operations online across production, transport, UAE finishing, processing and distribution.
Assess climate change and its effects on water availability as a primary food-security concern.
Assess veterinary disease, logistics constraints, regional conflicts and wars.
The software is planned and is not yet operational.
